I am a visual artist and sometimes I see things a little different than others. I am an older woman also and almost at the point where I have to understand that a lot of people have no idea that clothes were hung outside on a line to dry when I was a child. I also remember my mother reading letters to our old neighbor from his son who was in the Army. The old neighbor could not read and he enjoyed hearing from his son.
That neighbor's son and many men in my family and many other families fought in wars so that this country could be free.
There are many places where people do not have the freedoms that we have in this country. I hope that we will remember that and thank the men and women who serve now to keep this great country free.
