As an artist am I being realistic about what I can accomplish with the many groups that I am in or is it an excuse to sabotage my career as a visual artist?...am I afraid of success?do I lack the courage to discipline myself?
I am in many groups and work very hard to make each group a success, but lately I have found myself feeling as though I am not accomplishing anything and I am spending less time creating art.......This bothers me.
I recently finished a very big project that I had worked on for a year, during that time I had major surgery and it took some time for my body to heal. I did take a little time to breathe after the project was completed but now I am thinking about my purpose in life.Which I truly feel is being a visual artist.
I am writing this blog to find out how other artist handle a situation like this .
I found that writing this blog made me realize that I need to cut back on some of the groups and spend more time creating and marketing my work.
I suppose we all go through "creative blocks" and perhaps this was one for me.
I must say that writing this blog helped me to "vent".....lol....I look forward to hearing what you have to say.
